Website Copywriting for Beginner Soulpreneurs Module 3 – Your Custom Website Outline

1. To start, pull up your 3-5 inspiring website examples from the previous video in additional browser tabs.

-Ask: is it really clear what the website owner wants you to do? For example, “Book a Discovery Call,” or “Join my Newsletter” This is their Primary Call to Action.
-Take notes on what they are doing.
-Then decide what your Primary Call to Action will be.
-Take note of their website structure and which pages they link in their main menu.
-Write down which pages and how many pages each example uses.
-Then write a plan for which pages you will need to detail your offerings.
-This is the start of your website outline.

2. Open up Google Docs
Get your downloads/inspiring ideas and existing content for your offer copied into a document (from video 2/5, Strategies). Perhaps you also do a mind dump and free flow what you’re all about and want to offer on your website.
Write a page-by-page outline for your website based on your research from the previous section. You can also access my General Website Outline and Copywriting List and customize the sections based on your requirements:
-Access the outline as a ‘View Only’ Google Doc here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14vgfkEfUdTTmCXspoNFHX7G–o7_QcFnwwLt3iHR1GU/edit?usp=sharing and make a copy so you can edit and customize your own.
-Click ‘File’ near the blue logo in the top left of the screen.
-Click ‘Make A Copy’ to open a private, editable version.
-Rename it from ‘Copy of General Website Outline’ to ‘Your Brand Website Outline’
-Fill in your custom outline! Add pieces of your mind dump and other content collection into this structured document.
