Towards Equality: UNIDO and Finland CSW68 Side Event Explores Strategies for Women’s Leadership in STEM [Video]

Vienna, 14 March – In a bid to promote gender parity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) industries, an online side event was held during the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68). Organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with the Government of Finland, the event sought to explore strategies for enhancing women’s participation and leadership in STEM fields. 

The CSW, a pivotal entity within the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), dedicates itself to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment globally. Against this backdrop, the UNIDO-Finland CSW68 side event titled, “Advancing Gender Equality in STEM Industries: Strategies for Increased Participation and Leadership,” resonated profoundly with the overarching mission of CSW68.
