Sioux Falls business owner discusses impact of a TikTok ban [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Stories of businesses that have used TikTok as a marketing tool to expand their shops have been pouring in since a ban bill advanced out of the House last week. A Sioux Falls shop explained how the app has helped him and the impact a ban would have.

Jack Bucknell started working in the paintless dent repair industry in 2010. After working at a dealership in Sioux Falls, he decided to go out on his own and opened Sioux Falls Dent Repair.

Bucknell knew that content creation on social media would be a quick way to get off and running.

“There are people all the time that have never had my service done and had no idea it was a thing until they saw me on TikTok or any other social media platform,” Bucknell said.

Bucknell says it worked just as he had hoped.
