RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -Jimmy Beans Wool is a remarkable success story. Starting with a 500-square-foot retail shop in Truckee, Laura Zander and her husband have built an E-commerce firm with a global customer base of avid knitting enthusiasts.

And, she says, the Postal Service, in particular, the distribution center at the main post office is an essential part of that story.

“Many of our packages that go out are less than a pound. It makes sense to send things through the Postal Service versus UPS-p-s, FEDEX or other services. That capacity has just changed things for us. It’s really put us on the map, We can get a package out in Saturday and it can get to the East Coast on Monday, just regular U-S mail.”
