I don’t normally cover “bundles” or “sales” that MMORPGs put on in their cash shop. Games pay to advertise and sending out the latest cash shop offering as a press release often feels like the game is trying to get some free advertising.

I’m going to make an exception here, but only because of my love for real-time strategy game Star Trek: Armada. Back in 2000, that PC game was literally one of the best ways for us Trek fans to jump into the universe and see content that referenced content from the shows. In this day and age, we’re used to that. Hell, we’re even spoiled by it when it comes to Star Trek Online.
