Quick update on how to properly retarget your Daz characters in Unreal Engine 5.4, using David’s bridge from Github. There’s a new tick box called “facing right” that means the figure is imported in the wrong orientation to what the included retargeter expects. The solution is to create a new retargeter asset with automatic bone rotation, avoiding the character scraping along on the floor.
