ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Frito-Lay has issued a limited recall of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips, which may have milk in the chips.
Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.
The product included in this recall was distributed to certain retail stores and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington. However, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s Food Safety and Sanitation Program confirmed Tuesday morning that these chips have been distributed throughout the state.
The Food Safety and Sanitation Program has also confirmed that no illnesses have been reported so far in Alaska.
Consumers would have been able to purchase these chips as early as Nov. 3, 2024.
The recalled chips include Lay’s Classic Potato Chips, in flexible 13 oz. bags with the UPC code 28400 31041, a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of 11 Feb 2025, and one …
