This is the moment a ‘marketing stunt’ in central London descended into chaos as a mass flash mob of schoolchildren took over an unattended police car, chanting ‘f*** the feds’.
Shocking footage circulating online shows hundreds of youngsters gathering around as at least 10 boys, some wearing stolen police uniforms, hijacked an emergency vehicle in Broadwick Street, Soho, on Saturday.
Members of the mob could be seen chanting and dancing as they stamped on the Scotland Yard vehicle, while hundreds watched on filming and shouting abuse about the police from the sides.
One youngster, wearing a yellow Met jacket and a black police flat clap could be seen scavenging through the car before jumping back on top of the vehicle, seemingly leading the crowd.
Red-faced Met Police officers swooped on the scene at around 12pm yesterday, with hundreds of children sent fleeing through Soho after the sound of sirens brought the stunt to an abrupt close.
