Lost River Cave closed as they witness high water levels [Video]

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Lost River Cave is closed to the public as they continue to see high water levels.

Director of Marketing at Lost River Cave, Nicole Coomer, told WBKO they’re estimating that water was around 30 to 35 feet high as of 9 p.m.

According to their Facebook post, caves like Lost River acts as a natural drainage system to help manage stormwater runoff; though this can lead to flooding.
