PHOENIX (AZFamily) —Crafts retailer Joann announced in a statement this week it will be closing all of its stores after filing for bankruptcy.
The company said earlier this month it would close 500 stores and keep 300 open.
But after failing to find a buyer, company officials said it will now be closing all stores, including 10 stores in the Phoenix metro area.
Local crafters say they rely on Joann fabrics for their small businesses which they run through Instagram, TikTok, or Etsy.
Taylor Fareri owns a small business selling crafts.
She says she needs supplies like fabric in person because online shopping just won’t cut it.
That’s why it’s especially painful that Joann is closing.
