Stores staying busy with Christmas Shoppers [Video]

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – For those of you online shopping, Thursday was the last day for the U.S. Postal Service in Jackson to get those presents delivered before Christmas, but you still have opportunities at local businesses.

For these local businesses and the U.S. Postal Service, this year has been a historic one.

Shopping centers throughout the Metro from the Outlets of Mississippi in Pearl to Northpark Mall are seeing an influx of shoppers marking off those last gifts on their Christmas lists.

For the Outlets, they are seeing shopper traffic up 40% compared to last year even though online shopping has become so prominent recently.

“Our traffic is up. And people want to come shop, they want to browse, they want to see what they want to buy somebody. They enjoy coming together, you see very few people walking around by themselves. So, it’s just an outing and you …
