Let’s break down the newest feature: Story Comments! 🎉

Now, instead of just DMing someone in response to their Story, you can leave a comment! 💬 Only mutuals (followers you follow back) can comment on your Stories, and these comments are visible to your followers. It’s more personal than a post comment but less hidden than a DM. 

You have full control to turn comments on or off for any Story you share, and these comments disappear after 24 hours just like Stories. 

Instagram is also introducing a new look for likes on posts and Reels. Likes may appear more prominent, and even feature floating hearts next to profile photos that will let you start a conversation with that person in your DMs!
