Logistics District said to offer seamless, multimodal connectivity between road, air and sea transportation
Phase One of Dubai South’s e-commerce zone, EZDubai, is said to be 27% complete. The announcement follows the completion and operation of 20% of Phase One of the project, which is taking shape in the freezone’s Logistics District.
The freezone which was launched in January last year by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, aims to consolidate the emirate’s position as a hub for global e-commerce, a statement said.
Billed as the first of its kind e-commerce operational zone in the Middle East, strategically located next to Al Maktoum International Airport with a direct connection to the Jebel Ali Port, the purpose-built facility is designed to attract the world’s leading e-commerce companies and create a benchmark with its infrastructure, Dubai South said.
