James Corden has managed to understandably offend BTS fans due to referring to them as "15-year-old girls," not to mention seemingly questioning the band's recent appearance at the United Nations General Assembly. James commented that BTS were "unusual visitors" to the UN, saying "The United Nations General Assembly kicked off this morning in New York City, and it started with some pretty unusual visitors: BTS. It actually marks the first time 15-year-old girls everywhere found themselves wishing that they were Secretary-General António Guterres."
Despite allegedly deleting the segment from the official Late Late Show Twitter, it's been making the rounds online, and people aren't impressed—especially since James had previously been a fave of the BTS Army thanks to his support of the band.
