How to Get More Organic Reach & Visibility on Facebook – Module 2 – Lesson 1 – Facebook Unlocked

Today I’m going to be breaking down how you can get more organic reach from Facebook. And of course, this is going to help you go from zero to 200,000 followers.

If you want the most amount of organic reach you got to first understand Facebook’s news feed algorithm. What I mean by this is when you post on Facebook, Facebook determines if they should show your content you’re posting to other people, or if they should barely show to anyone, or heck even worse if they should show it to no one.

What I would recommend is first you want to post information that really helps other people.

So first needs to appeal to the audience that you’re targeting. And that’s probably the most important aspect of the newsfeed algorithm.

The second most important part is when you drive people off of Facebook you don’t do as well compared to when you keep people on Facebook. And the best way which I found to do consistently well is just by publishing evergreen content.

You want to optimize for SEO, but keep in mind user experiences the most important thing. And I also recommend that you write for beginners and you avoid things like technical jargon or other keywords that people don’t understand.

And of course, when you’re creating this content don’t be afraid to repurpose it. Search ins don’t penalize for duplicate content. So I repurpose my content on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and the list goes on and on that help me get more traffic over time.

And when you’re posting you’re probably wondering, hey Neil, when should I post? Well, you can just look at your audience and see when are they on Facebook because they provide analytics.

When posting on Facebook I recommend that you do native posting. What I mean by this is try to post as much of the content on Facebook. Don’t try to send them off to your website.

And then the second thing that I would recommend is don’t use one of those apps to schedule your content. Facebook wants you to go on Facebook and post through there versus using an app that allows you to schedule.

Look at the numbers, look at the dates that you’re posting. This will help you figure out how to fine-tune and only share the stuff that’s going to not necessarily quote unquote go viral because you can’t control virality but more so post the stuff that people want to engage with. Like, share, comment.

I also recommend that you compare Facebook to other sources. You need to look at Google ads, YouTube ads, SEO, TV, newspaper, radio. All this will give you understanding of what’s working in your sector but on different platforms.

And if you don’t have a big network I recommend partnering up with other Facebook pages. When you partner up with them and you can look for ones at similar pages, similar audiences, you can start promoting their stuff, they can start promoting your stuff it creates this win-win situation.

Take that customer feedback, take those testimonials, post and share it. It can even be an image format. And this will help get more and more people who want similar results start following your fan page.

Now, if you just do it very boring and salesy it’s not going to work too well. Keep in mind even if you post a testimonial, if it’s not beneficial to the audience it’s not going to do well.

You’ll end up learning what your fans like and what they don’t which is going to help you get more net followers. Because you remember every time you post, yes you could potentially get more followers but you can also lose followers if people don’t like what you’re posting. And that’s really important because you need to monitor these insights to figure out what’s working and what’s not working.

One other thing that I recommend is to build your brand. And one way to increase your brand authority is by following the rule of seven in marketing. When someone sees or interacts with your brand seven times they’re much more likely to evangelize you, remember you, talk about you and that’s super important, that’s how I build brands.

And last but not least if you don’t love what you’re posting, if you don’t love helping people, if you don’t love the industry you are in and you don’t care, well, you’re not going to do as well. That’s why I recommend you try to put other people first. Putting them first is what’s going to get you the results that you’re looking for.

Going viral is tough. Everyone wants to go viral because they want millions and millions of video views. But what if I told you that you can get millions of video views without going viral. Today I'm going to break down how I got 37 million video views without going viral.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Social Blade: https://socialblade.com/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________It's probably safe to say I have over 50 million views. That's a lot of views. So how do you do that without going viral? And today I'm going to show you how to do that. The first thing I want you to do is go to Google and google Ubersuggest Chrome extension. And when you type that in, it's the first result, it's chrome.google.com. The URL's really long. So I just want you to Google. Ubersuggest Chrome extension And there's over 200,000 people that use it, install it. And as you can see here, I've already have it installed. And you see that there's this little orange U icon. That's Ubersuggest. And if you don't see it there click the little puzzle piece. And then I want you to pin, click the pin for Ubersuggest, and then you'll see it. Now, when you go back to YouTube and you search for anything. And let's say I type in the word, digital marketing and I'm going to type it in. And the Ubersuggest extension will show you how many people search for digital marketing every single month. And it adds up. And I'll go and create topics on digital marketing and, and based on a look at some of the other videos and what people are doing. And I'll use that to figure out, all right maybe I should create a video on this. And it'll tell me not just what the search volume is for that keyword but it'll also give me other recommendations in the right sidebar. So that way I have more ideas of the keywords that I could be doing. The next thing I want you to do is go to neilpatel.com/ubersuggest, so that way you can get a bigger list ideas. And I want you to type in some of the competitors in your space. So let's say your competitor is Neil Patel, being me. And when you type in a domain name like Neil Patel you'll get a traffic overview where you see the popularity of a website over time and how much traffic they're going. But I want you to click in the left navigation keywords by traffic. And when you click on keywords by traffic just make sure you put in their domain name. And you'll see all the keywords that I'm ranking for. Not necessarily getting this many visits, which is volume. Estimated visits is on the right side. But you can see by volume what keywords are searched a lot being Reddit, news, Google ad words, you know, Google my business, Discord bots Quora, blogging, vlogging search engine optimization, SEO, advanced search on Twitter, Twitter advanced search, copywriting, search engines, influencers. And when you do this for your competition and you keep scrolling, a lot of the keywords won't be relevant for you. Some of them will be, any of the ones that are it'll give you ideas for keywords that you could be targeting. I'm using Ubersuggest to find all the other domains that have a lot, that are in my category. Like if this one is on, I think we saw podcasts advertising or podcasts topics. Or let's go, What? I don't know, content marketing, click on it. And then I can see all the other sites that rank for content marketing. One of the ones that ranks at the top is content marketing institute. Then I can go, Ima copy their domain here, go to keywords by traffic. And I can end up going through content marketing institute and then seeing, all right what are all the keywords that they're using as well? And this will give me good ideas on more keywords that I can create videos on. And when you create hundreds and hundreds of videos like I did, I know it takes time. You'll get the millions of views. Don't rely on going viral. You can't predict that, but you can predict that if you create tons of videos that are useful and helpful, each video may get five 10,000 views a month or even 2000 views a month. But when you have so many, it'll add up and over the years you'll get millions and millions of views and generate tons of revenue from it. Play the numbers game, create quality content in quantity when it comes to videos, put it on all the social sites out there you'll get the traffic, you'll get the views. You'll get the revenue from it, you'll get the brand awareness. And it's the long game. It works. Stop trying to waste your time going viral.
