Nintendo Switch games have benefited the most from Amazon Prime Day, but it hasn’t been enough to dislodge FIFA 21 from the top spot.
Despite concerns that the game may have sold less than normal, FIFA 21 is already only one week away from stealing Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ crown as the UK’s best-selling game of 2020. And that’s despite a 65% drop in sales from its debut last week.
Apart from the atypical Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, there were no major new retail releases last week, so in that sense it’s no surprise to see FIFA 21 is still the UK number one.
Animal Crossing did see a major boost thanks to Amazon Prime Day though, with sales increasing by 44% on the previous week, with Mario Kart 8 up 70%, Minecrafton Switch up 95%, and Ring Fit Adventure up 79%.
